The Stepfather - This looks halfway decent. Sela Ward is, and has always been, totally freaking hot.

If you want to climb to the top of the fashion food chain then you definitely need to get your hands on a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses. Simply owning a pair of these things can catapult your social status from dork to cool hombre in a matter of minutes, and that’s while they’re still in the box. Actually put them on your face and you’ll soon have modeling agency representatives camping out in your front lawn. That’s how hot these sunglasses are. I put a pair on this morning and by lunch I was engaged to several supermodels. You can’t get that sort of return on investment from just any pair of sunglasses.

Who is Tom Ford? Tom Ford was born in Austin, Texas but immediately moved to New York to kick the world of fashion in its very well dressed butt. This was particularly stressful on his parents, since he was an infant, but the screeching wail of fashion is not easily ignored. As creative director for Gucci in the 1990’s he brought the company’s sales up from a paltry $250 million per year to almost $3 billion. He eventually parted ways with Gucci so that he could launch his own Tom Ford brand of eyewear crafted of the purest coolness molecules known to man. These were created .00003 seconds after the big bang, by the way.

James Bond

You know a pair of sunglasses are cool when they are worn by none other than, ahem, James Bond! You may have spotted Daniel Craig sporting a pair of Tom Ford FT0108 James Bond 007 sunglasses in the latest Bond movie Quantum of Solace. Now, it may seem a little unfair that someone who is so cool by default like James Bond should need sunglasses of such high hipness, while guys like you and me – guys who have such loose grips on fashion sense that we actually wear khaki slacks with sneakers in public – really NEED to wear Tom Ford sunglasses. How much more cool does James Bond really need? But this would be selfish of us normal guys to think this. Who better to be the ambassador of cool shades than James Bond? To set the example for the rest of us guys out there? No one! Not even Danny DeVito!

For The Ladies

Tom Ford not only has stylish sunglasses for guys, he’s also got a vast selection of styles for the ladies. Naturally, like most women’s sunglasses, the lenses are roughly the size of dinner plates. This offers more surface area for maximizing chic performance. Female celebrities can often be seen strutting through the boulevards of L.A. and New York sporting Tom Ford sunglasses. You rarely see female celebrities strutting through the boulevards of Gruntsville, Alabama wearing Tom Ford.

Conclusion

I’d like to conclude by saying that you really should cram your face into a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses if you ever want to get a date again. It would probably help if you stopped wasting so much time reading blogs, too.

Back to the Future

Come on, everybody loves Back to the Future. And if you don’t… then what the heck is wrong with you man? This two disc set has lots of goodies so if you haven’t picked up Back to the Future yet then you are pretty much out of excuses now…

Pretty much everything I said about the first film applies to this one as well.

Yeah, you can pretty much guess where I am going with this one…

Batman: Special Edition

Nice two disc version of the original Tim Burton classic packed with extras.This is probably the greatest Batman film ever made though The Dark Knight came VERY close in my opinion.This is pretty much a MUST HAVE if you are a true film fan.

The ONLY real sequel to the 90’s Batman franchise. After this, the films just got retarded. I did like all of the actors who played Batman after Michael Keaton but the films they starred in were pretty much the low points of their collective careers.

I don’t know much about this film beyond the fact that it combines two of my favorite things… A guitar and Saffron Burrows(yummy!) I’ll definitely check this one out.

Miracle at St. Anna

Another film that I do not know too much about. All I can say is that I like war films, the cast and the director of this so it can’t be too bad… Right?

Lesbian Vampire Killers is about two guys who find themselves stuck in a remote cottage on The Moors with a van load of hot female foreign students. They are then attacked by a hoard of lesbian vampires! Genius! I think I smell an Oscar!

Today - Feb. 3rd - marks the day the music died when in 1959 a plane carrying the 22 year old rock-n-roll legend Buddy Holly crashed, killing him and two other beloved rockers of the day: The Big Bopper and Richie Valens.

The trio had just performed the night before at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa to a full house as part of a Midwest Winter Dance Tour.

The event was later immortalized by singer Don McLean in the song “American Pie.”
