Hey people, Mike here! I’m a little late getting this week’s pics out… but my excuse is I got laid off so I have had a few other things on my mind in the past couple of weeks. Anyway, on to this week’s picks.
Come on, everybody loves Back to the Future. And if you don’t… then what the heck is wrong with you man? This two disc set has lots of goodies so if you haven’t picked up Back to the Future yet then you are pretty much out of excuses now…
Nice two disc version of the original Tim Burton classic packed with extras. This is probably the greatest Batman film ever made though The Dark Knight came VERY close in my opinion. This is pretty much a MUST HAVE if you are a true film fan.
The ONLY real sequel to the 90’s Batman franchise. After this, the films just got retarded. I did like all of the actors who played Batman after Michael Keaton but the films they starred in were pretty much the low points of their collective careers.
I don’t know much about this film beyond the fact that it combines two of my favorite things… A guitar and Saffron Burrows(yummy!) I’ll definitely check this one out.
Another film that I do not know too much about. All I can say is that I like war films, the cast and the director of this so it can’t be too bad… Right?
Holy crap I’m not entirely sure what to think about this movie coming out in March called Lesbian Vampire Killers, but I know there is virtually no way it can fail!
Lesbian Vampire Killers is about two guys who find themselves stuck in a remote cottage on The Moors with a van load of hot female foreign students. They are then attacked by a hoard of lesbian vampires! Genius! I think I smell an Oscar!
Today – Feb. 3rd – marks the day the music died when in 1959 a plane carrying the 22 year old rock-n-roll legend Buddy Holly crashed, killing him and two other beloved rockers of the day: The Big Bopper and Richie Valens.
The trio had just performed the night before at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa to a full house as part of a Midwest Winter Dance Tour.
The event was later immortalized by singer Don McLean in the song “American Pie.”
An audio leak from the set of Terminator Salvation contains an explosive, foul-mouthed tirade by actor Christian Bale. The rant is targeted at the movie’s director of photography who apparently ruined a scene by walking onto the set.
WARNING: There are more f-bombs in this clip than an entire season of Deadwood! But, if you must…
I’ve never been a huge Star Trek fan. I’ve been a small one, just not a huge one. Maybe it’s because Star Trek never seemed to have any…well…balls. Apparently, that’s about to change:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…right now, in fact: I like The Rock. So I was totally stoked to catch this trailer for Race to Witch Mountain this weekend.
Okay, so I saw this trailer during the Super Bowl and popped a nostalgic boner. I’m totally sold on this flick already. Even though the Hollywood conglomerate keeps making movies out of all the “retro” shows and cultural institutions I grew up with simply to make me feel old (it’s a conspiracy against me!) I really can’t wait to see this. Go Joe!
So, my wife made me watch the most depressing film I have EVER seen last night. Seriously. It is called Grace is Gone and it stars John Cusack as the father of two young girls and the husband or a woman serving in the military overseas…
